Scheduled c section gone wrong

My c section has been scheduled for June 1st at noon for weeks now. I had a strange feeling I was going to go into labor before that, but it never happened. By OB checked my cervix at every appointment and it was always high and closed.

I woke up at 1am on June 1st with strong contractions about 6 minutes apart. My hospital is about 30 minutes away so I decided to go. Once I got there, I was dilated to 1cm and having regular contractions. Because I was only a 1, my doctor said I should go home. This was at around 2:30am, I was screaming in pain...probably scaring other women in triage.

The triage nurse didn’t admit me, but she knew I was hurting so she let me stay there in triage. Fast forward to about 5:30am, the nurse sees my state and decided to check me.I was 6cm dilated 100% effaced. I was rolling on the ground at this point, just feeling like I couldn’t do it. While the nurse was there, my sons heartbeat plummeted during a contraction. They strapped me to the bed, wiped me down and made everyone put on scrubs. By 7:00am I was laying on the OR table. One last check and I was 8cm dilated. All this was with NO pain medication. Just my husbands support and LOTS of breathing, grunting and screaming.

My son was born via c section June 1st at 7:20am. I would do it all over again 10 times for this boy 💙
