I’m a 4th grade teacher. You may have seen some of my other posts about my bedrest. I went to the dr for an ultrasound on April 26, was admitted to the hospital with a short cervix, and I’ve been on bedrest since not able to return to work. Well on April 26 my students had planned this surprise baby shower for me since I was supposed to go to work after my ultrasound...I obviously never made it.

I found out about the “surprise” and felt so bad for letting them down. I got permission from my dr to go in to work for a couple hours so they could re-do the shower. My principal found out I was in the building and made me leave really quick because I’m on FMLA 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I stayed long enough to hug every one of my babies and open all the wonderful gifts they brought me.

Their last day of school is Monday and I’ll be able to rest at home much easier not having to stress about what kind of hell these crazy kids are putting a substitute through 😂 but they were the sweetest bunch for me and I’m so sad I didn’t get spend the last month of the year with them.
