Crinone instead of PIO?

Question

My husband has been hospitalized so he won't be here in the morning to administer my PIO. 😔 I've never done them myself and don't want to if at all possible. Do any of you know if it would be the same to use crinone in the morning and evening tomorrow? I didn't have time today to contact my RE, although I highly doubt I'd get a response on a Sunday anyway.

Sorry to hear about your husband Ali😔 But my nurse told me that anything liquid dissolved quicker or something like that. It’s really not that hard to do. Look up videos on YouTube. Wishing you luck✨🤞🏾

I administer my own shots. You can do it! Some days are easier than others, but once you commit just get it done. I play hype up music if I need it/ keep a digital test that tested positive nearby/ give myself a pep talk. The worst part is getting yourself to administer the shot- the anticipation is much worse than actually doing it. It’ll be worth it in the end!

I use crinone, they dont prescribe shots here. But ask your RE before switching. Or, since ur at a hospital, ask a nurse there to give ur PIO to you. Wishing your husband a speedy recovery.

Sorry to hear about your husband, I hope he’s ok! I personally wouldn’t switch from PIO to Crinone. On Crinone or pessaries I struggle to get to 20 for progesterone but on PIO I sit comfortably over 100 so it can really make a big difference to your levels.

It’s best to use the pio unless your dr says others wise. I’ve been injecting myself for several months now beings my husband stays gone working most of the time. If a close friend or family member can’t help you. Look up videos on how to do it yourself, it’s really not that bad.

Thank you all so much for your responses. ❤ I had about 5 mins before my son woke up this morning and before I had to get him ready to see my husband before surgery, so I made the executive decision to do crinone. I spoke to my clinic today, and they said 2x crinone for right now is okay until my husband can administer for me. Hoping that will be soon.
