It only took me six months to work up the nerve to be away from baby boy for lunch and a movie😅went to eat and see Godzilla for hubby’s birthday yesterday and left my EBF LO with his grandparents for 3ish hours. He didn’t take his last nap (which he often skips even at home these days) and he flat refused his pumped bottle. Figured this may happen so I fed him well before I left and his Grandma was able to give him some oatmeal mixed with breastmilk to tide him over. He did great overall and slept later that night from 7:15pm - 7:30am with a quick feed around 3am! Glad that bedtime/overnight didn’t seem affected in the slightest. So proud of him and proud of me for finally carving out some 1-1 time with hubby.😊A few take aways: probably can’t leave him for longer than 3/4hrs yet since he hates bottles and I am nowhere near ready to leave him around bedtime. I was SO ready to get him and get in a good feed and snuggle before bed like we always do.💗
