I have been beside myself with worry since hearing my NIPT results 3 weeks ago. I was told the fetal fraction was too low to detect gender and that I have a 1 in 17 chance of chromosome abnormality, fast forward to today’s appointment and was told those results weren’t calculated by my lab work at all, it was calculated by my age 39, weight, previous history of miscarriage, etc. my OB said it wasn’t at all indicative of a problem. Baby was fine today with a heart rate of 153 and was continually kicking. She thought it beneficial to repeat the NIPT and scheduled an early anatomy scan in 4 weeks (I’ll be 18 weeks). I just wanted to share in case anyone else was going through the same, don’t give up, get retested, talk to your OB! Prayers to all.
