9 month old - shoes?

I know shoes are unnecessary at this age (until they start walking), but I want to buy my lo some shoes! 
Should I buy the soft ones? Or the regular flat bottom ones at this age?

This is the perfect time to start regularly putting shoes on your little one, that way she/he will get used to them and they aren’t a distraction when she starts walking. Sometimes if they aren’t used to waring shoes they will just sit down and try and take them off instead of walking.

We bought the regular ones not crib shoes (soft soles). She doesn't wear them long so I can't see it being an issue but she does hate them. She's always hated socks, even as a NB so shoes are a struggle for us
