Sleeping with your legs bent?

Why do they say sleep with a pillow between your legs and bend your legs? Why must you do this

It’s not a necessary but helps with hip pain

Its to do with the body posture when you are sleeping to relieve yourself from in certain parts of the body. Its focused on posture just like we are told to sit upright when we are sitting for the posture of the body to avoid getting back pain and to keep the spine in an upright position. Hope that helps.

You don’t have to do it. It takes the pressure off your back and knees so you’re not in so much pain.
