Cervix check?

Does anyone know if midwife starts to do cervix checks if so.. from how many weeks?Or do you only have that done if your in labour? I see a lot of people on glow having checks but wasn’t sure if it’s the same in UK. Ftm here 😂

It depends......I went over so they "checked" whilst trying to do a sweep. Had that twice (went to 42 weeks). They dont routinely do it in the UK like USA.

Only in labour.... even when in labour and went to hospital first time they wouldn’t even check me as I didn’t “seem to be” in labour🙄bloody was I can tell ya!!  If you have a sweep don’t they will be able to tell you how far dilated you are, I had one at 39 was and was 1 cm 😒

Depends on your midwife. A week before I was due she asked me if I wanted a sweep to see if I have diluted at all, then a week later on my due date I had an appointment checkup with her and she gave me another sweep to get things moving :') FTM too, I'm glad I learned of sweeps before she asked,  yet I still sat half naked behind the curtain for a while thinking if I have the right concept of a sweep or not. I was so awkward haha

I had my cervix checked yesterday at 24w because I’ve been having stomach pains. They wanted to check my cervix was still closed and I wasn’t going into early labour! They only tend to check as and when it is clinically indicated.

Don't think they do it until you are in labor or getting a sweep my last pregnancy no one ever checked until I was in labor.
