Bangs or no?

So my entire life I've wanted bangs but I have to really big cow licks where my bangs would be, so I haven't done it. But I was thinking maybe if I flat ironed then it would work maybe. So I watched some videos on how to make it look like you have bangs without actually having them, and all it took me was 2 ponytail holders a flat iron and a bandana. So here's what it looks like before and after...does it look okay? Should I give it a try??

Edit: so I decided to cut it, but I cut it myself. Hubby loves it! Does it look okay?
