Anderson for a boys name? Nickname will be Ander

We both like it, but I’m worried kids will pick on him or something when he’s school age. I like Ander too, so well use that for a nickname. It’s kinda like he’s named after his dad, but not completely, his name is Andrew.

Remember kids are mean. if a kid wants to tease or bully another they won’t always use a name to do it. They may use the fact he studies more or because he’s smart. Or because of the shoes he wears... basically anything. And Anderson is a really nice name. I love Andy as a nickname! 
The name is calm compared to our list. We love Norse and Viking names. So Thor, Odin, and Leif are on our list. And yes we have gotten a couple comments about it. But we don’t care...
