No Ultrasound until 20 weeks!?

Hi everyone! If my calculations are correct I’m 7 weeks and 1 day today. I had my first appointment yesterday and I’m feeling really uneasy about my doctor and the office staff. The doctor got called out for an emergency, which I completely understand, however the tech indicated that even tho I’m considered high risk, the office won’t do an ultrasound until 20 weeks. She didn’t even ask me to take a test in the office or send me for bloodwork! Does anyone else think this sounds abnormal!? I was hoping for an ultrasound yesterday but totally understood if they wanted to wait until 12 weeks, but I’m very uncomfortable waiting until 20 weeks/5months. Am I crazy!?
