Ugh 😑

So my boyfriend is being really cute and nervous about this pregnancy. He kept bugging me to call the doctor and get a routine checkup just to make sure I’m fine and healthy. (I have an ob appointment set up when I’m 9weeks). So I call my regular family doctor and ask to set up and appointment I inform them I’m 6weeks pregnant and I would just like a normal routine checkup for peace of mind. The lady on the phone was like there is zero point in you coming in. There is nothing we can do for you. It’s just a waste of time. Then asked if I set up and ob appointment when I told her yes, and explained I’d be 9weeks she went on to tell me that even at that appointment nothing is going to happen, it’s just a consult. I said no I have an ultrasound set up. She continues to tell me that’s pointless my baby won’t even have a heartbeat then. There is no reason my ob would schedule one and I must be wrong. Like really. 🤦‍♀️ So I politely ask her to do her job and just make me a regular doctors visit for a routine check up. Ugh. This is why I avoid doctors offices.
