Best gift?

What was your favorite baby shower gift you got?! Needing one asap for my boyfriends childhood bestfriend. Here’s some stuff I’ve made before but it’s a boy, & I’m going blank.

My favorite one was the baby monitor, just because I’m still using it 2+ years after baby was born. And that’s what I get for all new mommies (if they registered for one).

Forgot to add, I’ve always gotten great, thankful feedback on this gift. Usually “Wow! I didn’t know I needed xyz” or “Xyz came in handy and I totally forgot, thank you” so on and so forth. Good luck 😄

I usually make a custom basket with diaper rash cream, nipple cream, breastfeeding pads, gas drops, etc.... all those things new moms forget about in the beginning, or think they don’t need. Then when they realize they do, that stuff is already there on hand. I buy small sizes of a different couple brands so they can pick which one is right for them. Then they can always go buy the larger version.

A friend made me a basket full of two different brands of bottles. A rubber grass drying mat thing for them, a little insulated bag for the bottles, bottle brush, formula holder, couple pacifiers, few bibs and a burp cloth. It was customized and so thoughtful - and helpful!

Diapers and wipies. My baby goes through a pack of wipies in three days and her diapers last less😭 and a diaper bag in backpack style

My friend gave me a diaper bag (backpack style) and filled it with travel sized toiletries for both me and my husband that we could use in the hospital. Shampoo/ hair brush, tooth brushes/paste, facial wash and cleansing wipes, hair ties, tylenol, mouthwash, lotion, ect. Also a $20 Target giftcard for snacks or anything else I needed post partum. I didn't end up using a lot of it but my hospital gave me a overnight kit with a lot in it..most hospitals don't do that. It was super thoughtful of her and nice to know I didn't have to think of that part of hospital bag packing. I actually used that bag for my hospital bag. Most useful and well thought out gift I got. Other than that my favorites were Target gift cards so I could buy the clothes/diapers I wanted or needed.

Diapers! I love buying all the practical things for baby showers that I know they will use. Diapers/wipes/baby detergent/diaper cream/gripe water/infant Tylenol. All the little things that come in handy but maybe they haven’t thought of.
