Can someone explain to me how you get pregnant after missing 1-2 pills?

If you miss 1-2 pills, wouldn’t the pills still be in your system? And obviously you need an egg to release to get pregnant? Ovulation doesn’t change its schedule because you miss a pill right? Is it just if you miss a pill during when your ovulation time is supposed to already be?

BC generally stops ovulation. Miss a pill and you ovulate.

Okay not sure what pills you take that stay in your system more than 2 days....you're suppose to take them everyday to stop ovulation like he person said below me and also so it stays in your system. Pills usually get out of your system 1-2 days after you take them so you have to continually take them. During the course of the month the different hormones have your body do different things to stop from being pregnant.
