After birth bleeding?

When did yours stop?? With my first I had a 2nd degree tear and if I remember right I bled for a couple of weeks. I’m now 6 days PP with my second, no tear, and I’m just spotting dark blood.. almost like the “old” blood at the end of a period. Is it normal for the bleeding to subside this quickly??

After having both of my sons (no tearing both times) I bled for only 2 and a half weeks both times.

I’ve just been barely spotting for weeks. It’s driving me nuts. Just enough so I still need a pad. I’m at 4 weeks and 2 days pp now. When will it end???????? 🤣

Honestly can’t remember how long I bled with my first two.

It actually has a lot less to do with the degree of tear etc and how quickly and efficiently your body gets rid of the post birth ‘material’ so to speak and how quickly you heal in general.

With my first, even with several second degree tears I stopped bleeding by a week pp, then on day 10 pp I had one last huge gush of blood (it was a bit scary to be honest) and then I was done. I didn’t bleed another drop of blood again for seven months until my period returned.
