For daytime naps yes. It’s not safe for babies to sleep overnight and unsupervised in them.

If I (baby’s mom) were in the room, it didn’t work. She somehow knew I was there and only wanted to be held by me. It worked better for my mom and sister when they watched her.

For the first 3 months, no. Then my daughter started taking a nap in her swing, and it became the most important piece of furniture in the house.
