Look up "ramzis method."  With a study of 5000 pregnant women who was 8 weeks pregnant, they observed which side of the uterus that the placenta was on.  97.2% of women who were having boys, had their placenta on the right side while 97.5% of women who were having girls, had it on the left.  Of course it's not a sure thing, but with the percentages of the study, I'd say it's pretty close. And it's free....
