My SO and I have been together for nearly a year. We are both super kinky by I find myself being to much for him. I am a sub and a dom and he is strictly dom. He let me tie him up but it was definitely not a turn on. He lost his hard almost right away. Anyways more to the point, he tries to be more dominant during the day but I pull away and push back unlike a sub. It changes the dynamic and can even start arguments at times. I was just wondering if you guys have any tips to help me dial back my dominant side a little? Thanks XOXO

Maybe try combining it by being a bratty sub? It gives you that “dom” feeling of rebelling against him, or telling him what to do, but then you can still be a sub because he can “deal with you” like a dom if that’s what you like😉

First, the word for that is a switch and honestly I see a couple options. One is more bratty or primal play where you get to have a whole struggle. Two is opening things up a bit so you can explore with someone else maybe while he participates. Three is unfortunately that the two of you might not be compatible and you’d need to probably find another switch to date.

Hi sorry this is a long reply!
I have a similar dynamic! I tend to push back and have a hard time being vulnerable. But I also know that I have a goal of becoming more vulnerable to my Dom and he knows this and has been working on it with me. 
Ask yourself what you really want. Do you want to submit to him fully? Or do you want to dominate? You can be both but it's difficult when you have a Dom who absolutely does not want to be dominated. Either way you should think about this and talk to him. If your goal is to become a better submissive and become more vulnerable, then I would ask to talk to him about it and ask him to help you with it. 
I've had to learn so much about letting go of control in our relationship. We've been together for a year too and it has been a long long journey. I've pushed back a ton and it's honestly so surprising how much resilience my Dom has. But now we're at a point where I finally feel like I'm at my most vulnerable. I'm able to let more roll off my shoulders and be happier to give him the control he needs. I've always been submissive but I can't trust easily and so in all of my past vanilla relationships I was usually the one in control somehow. But with him it's a totally new and different dynamic. 
I still have urges to slap his ass and say "bad daddy" or get on top of him and pin him down, or sometimes I tickle him and tease him but those are things I know he likes and that I'm just being silly. It's all in a teasing manner anyways and he knows when its serious business he's the one in charge and theres no way I'd get away with any of that. 
Try doing the opposite reaction to whatever you usually do. Like if he starts coming onto you, instead of pushing him away try letting him in a little. It's hard because you have to really catch yourself doing it and like take a moment to think about yourself from a bird's eye view. Sometimes I find myself going stiff when my Dom goes in on me, but then I remember that he wants me to react positively and so I start whining and suddenly I get into a mode and become more shameless. They want you to become a mess for them.
