Is 16 too young to have sex?

So my boyfriend and I had sex today for the first time. We’re both 16 and have been dating for a year and wanted to take the big leap I guess lol. Is 16 too young in your opinion? We were safe and used protection don’t worry!

16 is the minimal age most people start having sex so I think it’s alright in my opinion.

I had sex for the first time a week after my 17th birthday. The last time I had  vaginal sex was the 25th of last month. I’ve been 18 since Jan. 
Honestly. I feel like for future reference or even giving advice to your friends or other people. Keep in mind their states of what country they live in into account. Like what their consent age for the area is then kinda go from there but I feel like as long as it’s legal and both parties consented and used protection like a condom then yeah def go for it.

There’s a couple of 16 year old that have found out their are pregnant and in a tough situation. My advice is get on birth control and have him wear condoms.

I first had sex when I was 17 or 18 (I can't quiet remember) I regret it so much and wish I waited. 
I lost it in a back of a van, I didn't want to have sex that night but it just happened. 
If I was you, if just wait.
