IVF success from poor quality embryo?

Hi ladies, my husband and I have just done our first round of IVF-ICSI due to poor sperm motility and irregular cycles. After egg collection I was so hopeful coz they collected 17 eggs 🙌🏻 9 were successfully fertilised but by day 3 we were down to 2 eggs 😣 on implantation day they told us none of the eggs were at blastocyst stage but they would transfer the most viable. I was so devastated, especially after having such a success egg harvest 😔 I feel like I was prepared that implantation might not work but never braved myself for the fact that our cycle might not get past embryo stage! Has anyone else had this experience? Has anyone had success from a dodgy embryo? 😬
