I think I'm no longer disowned
After three months of being dead to my family, my Grandma hugged me and said she misses me. I never got nasty or rude with my family's racism, I just stood my ground and stood up to them peacefully. Looks like it's paid off. She even talked to my boyfriend a little. It's a start. So for all you struggling with your family not supporting you and your relationship, just keep in mind, it can get better. If not, it's their loss.
