Does age in a relationship matter to you?

I wouldn’t date someone more than a year or two younger than me or more than 10 years older. It just doesn’t feel right

I wouldn’t want to be with someone with a large age gap. Usually goals are different.. stages of life also. 
Ex: I’m 25, i am in the prime age for wanting a family, working on my carreer ect. 
If I was to date younger (let’s say 18) they are just finishing highschool, wanting to explore, going to college, enjoying life.
If I was to date older (40+), they usually have an established carreer, more than likely had kids already and won’t want to start over, moire inclined to travel since they are well setttled in life.
Everyone is different and everything is ok. I just prefer no huge age gap.

There’s a lot of hate and judgment especially from women when it comes to age gap relationships.  My SO and I have been together for 5 successful years based on mutual love and respect and loyalty.  I’m 21 years, 4 days older than him. 
My concern when we got together was less about how much money he made and where he was in his career, than it was about how he treated me. Now five years later, I’m at home and he’s out working and supporting us so you never know how things like that will change. What hasn’t changed are the feelings we have toward each other, except that our bond is even stronger. 
I’m the first older woman he’s dated and he’s my first younger man, so all those assumptions people make about why people get into age gap relationships don’t hold true for us, just like most couples with age gaps.

I chose "depends" because I am ok with a modest age gap so long as both parties are mature consenting adults and there is no manipulation happening on either younger or older end. There are, however, many people who find themselves in a situation where either the younger person is using the older for financial gain or the older and more mature person is using the dependency of a younger person to their advantage. These co-dependencies, however, can happen at any age or age gap so I don't think its necessarily exclusive to a large age gap situation. Anyway, for me personally, I'm not sure I'd be comfortable with more than a 10 year difference, but I know plenty of 10-20 year gap people who are perfectly happy and secure in their relationships.

Generally no it doesn’t matter.  I’ve seen people with quite a big age difference really make it work. 
Like my closest friend and her partner have an age difference of 20 years and they’re a great couple. 
But personally, I’d rather date someone roughly my own age. Like I’m 26 and my boyfriend is 25, and i prefer that because we’re both at the same stage in our lives.
