Applying to my field again

I’ve been out of my degree field since 2012 because the federal budget yanked my grant. Since then I’ve been working for the state and I love my job now but the problem is I won’t get paid much even once I retire. It doesn’t require a degree and back home it was the best thing to get. Now we have been gone to a bigger city since 2015 and every time I try to make extra money with a server job my husband tells me it’s dumb and I could get better. I finally realized he’s right I need to try and apply again. I have a degree and I owe 75,000 on it and don’t even need it for this job.

I’m finally seriously applying to a company I had an interview with back in 2007. They are in California and they flew me out there. I couldn’t accept because I was going through a custody battle back home. Now I’m in a better position in my life so I’m praying if that company doesn’t work out at least something will!! It’s frustrating when you have a degree you can’t use.
