Tips for highlighting (or lowlighting?) my own hair?
I'm a natural dirty blonde and I plan to dye my hair a little lighter blonde and put red highlights in. I've never done highlights myself, and I was wondering if there is a way to do the red highlights (or lowlights?) without it looking too overdramatic?
I've had the foil method and the plastic head thing with holes done but I'm not sure what I should do.
The top picture is kinda what I want and the bottom picture is my hair
