Is Finley (boy) a bad name??

We love it but seems most of our family hates it. Finley IS a boys name, only popular for girls in the US recently. We like old names, our first son is Greyson

I meant to vote no. You should change your wording. It is a good name for a boy. A bad name for a girl. I cannot stand cross-gendered names.

Man I read the question wrong too. My son is a Finley! I think it’s a great boy name. I didn’t hear about it as a girl name until after he was born 🤷🏼‍♀️ we got some flack for it at first, but the name definitely fits him.

Finley is really common here. And for a boy. I don’t know a single girl called finely? 
And it doesn’t matter if others like it. They will get used to and then it will just be normal. I wasn’t a huge fan of my niece’s name at first (obviously didn’t tell my sister because I’m not a bitch) but now I don’t even think about it. That’s just who she is- it’s her name lol
