Braxton hicks?!

Can you ladies tell me what your Braxton hicks contractions feel like. I googled real vs Braxton contractions..from the description I dont think I'm having Braxton hicks.. they start at my lower sides/hips and come lightly then stay strong in my lower belly, then gradually decrease to go away. I have at least 1 a day but I have had up to 3 or 4. I have had two bad ones in my back that have made me cry 😂. I have never gone I to labor on my own...so I am not overly worried, especially since i don't have an abundance every day.

I’d describe them more as a really intense tightening feeling, kind of like my stomach is squeezing really strongly, and yes, it does make your stomach go really hard. They can be anywhere from mild to super intense, like they make it hard to breath while it’s happening, but never really painful. And I’ve never heard of back labour Braxton Hicks, so not sure if that can be normal or not.

My BH feel like my uterus becomes really hard. I’ve heard the term “like a basketball” used, and I’d say that’s accurate. It doesn’t last long (maybe 60 seconds max, but most are closer to 30) and doesn’t hurt at all. I don’t think they’re supposed to hurt so you may want to check in with your doctor since you’ve had a couple painful episodes

Mine are the exact same as yours but it hasn’t been bad enough to make me cry and it isn’t in my back just my belly. Sometimes I get a little lower back pain but nothing too bothersome!

Braxton Hicks are uncomfortable, maybe slightly painful - they shouldn’t be making you cry... I’d call your doctor if you’re getting contractions that are so painful they make you cry!!
