When to start buying

Question

When is a reasonable amount of time to start buying for baby? I'm 11 weeks 1 day, and I'm curious as to when I can get some stuff out of the way! When did you start shopping?

I bought a few things very early on, like 7 weeks haha small things, nothing big and nothing that couldn't be returned. Then around 12 weeks I bought a changing table because I found one for $12, couldn't pass that up. We announced on Facebook at 6 weeks when we found out we were having twins, so we have already received a few little gifts from people. Nothing too big yet. I'm 16 weeks now, hopefully finding out the genders on Wednesday. Last time the tech thought they were both boys, so we will see 😊 I put my registry on Facebook as well, because I had people bugging me about it haha luckily I had made it fairly early on so I wouldn't have to worry about it too much. Someone has already bought us cribs and high chairs! I'm excited. Do what you want, and whatever makes you happy. Just make sure it's returnable. And I also would try to stay neutral, don't buy anything gender specific yet 😊 I did what I wanted, even though a lot of people on here said it was way to early and I would jinx my pregnancy..?  Which is not true at all. ENJOY YOUR PREGNANCY HOWEVER YOU WANT TO!

You can definitely start buying diapers and wipes and gender neutral stuff now. I'm 15 weeks and still haven't bought a thing but I plan to start buying things next week.

Buy thing whenever you want. Gender neutral then to whatever the sex of your baby may be. Like at 8 weeks, we bought a onesie that said "I'm proud my daddy doesn't shoot blanks" for a boy, luckily we might be having a boy lol

I guess it all depends on the person. I've always been told that you should wait till your in your second trimester & everything is ok. I'm not sure if it's superstition or what. I've always heard this from elders. Like my grandmother & great grandmother.

Get anything you like :) theres nothing wrong with endulging in your baby! Your excited! But also keep in mind that people will be buying you things too, so maybe save the larger items for that time so that you can save more for things you may need later (or didnt think of) once baby comes. Go for it!
