Flu Vaccine?

Question

My doctor is highly encouraging me to take a flu shot (I am due in April/May with twins) I have never had the flu shot and I have only had the flu once in my 24 years of living. Are you going to get a flu shot? What are your feeling towards it? Did you have the flu shot in previous pregnancies?

No way never! Doctors may recommend it, but it says right there on the package that " safety and efficacy have not been established in pregnant women ". Me and my baby are not pharma guinea pigs!

I had it last pregnancy and having it next week for this pregnancy. You can't catch flu from it - it is not a live vaccine.

I got my flu shot my first pregnancy and just forgot to get one with my second and got the flu while 8 months pregnant. Trust me you don't want it while pregnant!!  I will be getting it in a month and I'm 24 weeks with my third,  I will not go through that again.

Got my first shot last week. Never had the shot never had the flu but not taking the risk

I was on fence about it. However they strongly suggested me getting one as well. I hummed and hawed for 4 weeks and asked other pregnant women as well. I ended up getting it on Tuesday I feel just fine. Typically I don't get them ever but I am pregnant w identical twins and I am high risk. I did not want my 3 yr old bringing home the flu and ended up hospitalized or loose the babies. There are pros and cons to absolutely everything in life you have to be the one to see which works best for you. I know it doesn't give you a concrete answer but I know how it feels just as any other mom told to get one. (With my first pregnancy I never did get one, had a miscarriage in March )

I had no intention to, asked about it at my first appointment and just got it done. I've had the flu shot once...the only time I think I've ever had the flu so I'm nervous, but she was saying this year's shot is seeming very promising. If I get the flu, never again will I get the shot 😂

I'm supposed to get one at my appointment this week. I'm 28 weeks. Got one during my first pregnancy as well. But I always get them anyways due to my asthma.

I've never had the flu thankfully and I'm generally a big advocate of building my own immunity naturally. But I'm a full time paramedic and come in contact with all sorts of sick people and since my immune system isn't where it normally is and I know (well I've read extensively) the flu can have a horrible impact on a fetus I will definitely be taking the flu shot work offers.
