Birth Story

My June 20th baby came into the world on June 15th. After being induced. But, I wouldn’t dialate passed 3cm. They began pitocin at 2in the morning but sadly his body couldn’t take that and his heart rate decreased dramatically. I was woken up at 4 after they watched it for 2hrs and they decided to do an emergency c section bc his heart rate had dropped that much. I was terrified at this point but knew that my little boy would be here real soon. They wheeled me down at 4:50 and he was out by 4:53! I’m beyond grateful for the doctors and nurses at Canton-Potsdam Hospital that saved my little boy that night. It was the scariest this I ever encountered but it was very worth it in the end. He is safe now and loves to be cuddled. He is doing great with breastfeeding. Everyone meet my little Maverick Xander. He weighed 7lbs 9.6ounces and was 19inches long with a big 15inch head on him!
