Padsicles?

Did you make them? Was it worth it? What did you put in them? My friend just had a baby and gave me a bunch of PP stuff she had leftover from the hospital and that includes a ton of pads! I wanted to make them before, but now it will be cheaper since I only need the ingredients! I’m 29 weeks now and was thinking of making them around 33/34 weeks.

Not worth it you think about it you freeze it it’s gonna have to thaw out just use dermaplast for relief it was a lifesaver for me. The hospital I delivered at gave me a ton of pads as well as pads that were ice packs as well so I didn’t make em.

I made them my first pregnancy and won’t bother again. The witch hazel helped but the aloe vera did not and ended up being just a gross cold goopy mess. Plus putting all that stuff on the pad uses up its absorbency, so it doesn’t soak up your blood as well.
This pregnancy I will stock up on dermoblast and witch hazel pads (and keep the witch hazel pads in the fridge). Grab a few of the cold witch hazel pads and line the maxi pad with them rather than soaking the maxi pad in witch hazel. Then spray yourself with dermoblast. You’ll still get all the benefits of the padcicles without all the mess and your pad will still be absorbent.

I tried them and preferred dermoplast to padsicles. I would stock up on dermoplast it was a life saver for me.

I bought all the supplies and never made them. I used the dermaplast and the tucks pads! Those tucks pads were lifesavers for me. I also continued to use the bottle that they give you in the hospital for a while too. I felt that he cleaner I was, the more comfortable I was. I also kept up with the ibuprofen and senna pills. Whatever I could do to lessen pain for myself.

After watching a couple postpartum videos on YouTube of what women actually used after birth, I decided not to make them. The hospital really does send you home with good stuff you'll use.

I didn’t make them, the hospital provided them.  I think they’re amazing for the first 48 hours.  My birth center doesn’t supply them so I bought them on amazon for this baby.  I don’t like the homemade ones because they will not absorb anything once made.

I only used them in the hospital, not once I got home. You’ll need those pads for postpartum bleeding and possible incontinence so I wouldn’t use them for padsicles.
