A guy you're chatting to said his mum's boyfriend made a joke about his ex's weight/body. He says it's just his sense of humour and dad humour. But you're not exactly a skinny girl and seems a bit odd as apparently it made his ex feel really uncomfortable and upset to the point she didn't wanna be in the same room as them?

Yikes!!! Nobody should be making anyone feel uncomfortable about their appearance. It might be funny to them but still uncalled for. Maybe there are other things they didn’t like about his ex so they just make mean comments about her now in general.

I would have said that regardless of what his sense of humor is like, it’s not funny to comment on people‘s appearances. And if he makes a comment towards you, you won’t hesitate to defend yourself. Hopefully your boyfriend would stand up to his dad also and not just chalk it up to his sense of humor. It’s totally rude.
