IUD...so how

I had my first child 9 years ago in 2009. My second child turned two in February of this year. I got an IUD after I had our daughter in 2009. Removed it in 2016 to become pregnant with our son. And yesterday We found out we are pregnant. Called the midwife I had with my son she got me in right away for a vaginal ultrasound. She seen that my IUD was right in place it didn’t move it was right where it was supposed to be. So I was so confused as to how I got pregnant she simply said you are that 1 in 100 women who gets pregnant with a IUD.

we have mixed emotions but we know babies are a blessing. We just were not planning this and we definitely didn’t want more babies but hey I guess God has other plans. We are still in shock!
