Sheet Saver Safe?

Question

So I’m a FTM and basically everything I’ve heard is nothing in the crib is best. So all I have in mine at home is the crib sheet itself. However my MiL decided to buy a crib(idk why we live 5 min from each other and I have a pack and play🤦🏼‍♀️) but she bought sheets and these sheet saver things? I’ve never seen them so I’m attaching pictures. But are these safe in the crib? Honestly I don’t think my baby will ever even sleep in the crib there - because why would he? My husband and I both work at home so we don’t really even need a sitter- but just in case I want my baby to be safe!!

No, they can move and baby could get stuck under it.  I just layer a waterproof mattress pad then sheet then another waterproof mattress pad then sheet.  If I need to change it then I can just pull of the top set and the crib is ready to go and I don't have to be putting all new stuff in.  Especially during the night.  This has saved me SO many times.  Especially as babies get older and leak through sometimes.

We have a waterproof fitted sheet then a sheet. Then we have sheet savers without the tie and then another fitted sheet. If your baby gets sick...its easier to just rip off a sheet. The sheet savers didnt move for us. And she was rowdy. But i guess im a rebel bc i put bumpers on when she turned 1  😮

You could try to place it underneath your fitted sheet. Otherwise a mini crib mattress protector will do the job no problem.

Technically no because they can shift and they're not breathable. Just put 2 crib sheets on at a time and if a little dampness gets on it overnight you can quickly remove the top sheet.

I actually use them on top of the changing pad! I love that they cover almost the whole pad and are super easy to change when dirty. I also keep a cover on the change pad, but I love these things! Much better than the flimsy actual change pad liners
