Is this normal?

Im 19 weeks pregnant my feet and legs are already extremely sore(sore to the touch) and swollen. I stand at work from 6 -8 hours a day could that be causing swelling this early? Around when did everyone else start swelling?

Answer

I didn’t start swelling til I was about 35 weeks. I would call your doctor or even the L&D wing of your hospital to see if it’s normal. My L&D wing asked if I have been standing a lot(6-8 hours like you do with no break)  and drinking water. Then asked if I’m able to leave indentions on my ankles. Once I said yes they told me to go home, drink a glass of water. Take a warm bath (warm not hot. Don’t want to heat up baby) with plain episom salt for 20 minutes. Drink another glass of water and put my feet up above my chest.

Is this normal?
