Baby Acne or Rash?!

My baby is 5 weeks and has been getting tiny bumps all over her face, ears and a little on her neck. The midwife said it’s baby acne and not to worry but there are so bumps close together it makes me worried it’s a rash!

My little one had the same acne problem. I switched her to Burt’s bees shampoo and lotion and it has made a dramatic difference in her skin. I also use Burt’s for my acne and it helps too. She still has an occasional breakout but nothing like before.

My boys face got so bad it turned into eczema with extremely flaky skin. We’ve been lathering on the aveeno eczema nighttime ointment, by our pediatrician’s recommendation, and it has made a world of a difference. The dry patches just keep getting smaller and smaller. Worth a try!

If you are breastfeeding you could try giving your baby a breast milk bath. Add just enough milk to make the water cloudy. Works well to clear baby's skin.

Mine had the same thing. I was told it was Eczema. My daughter's was rough to the touch & red. Her dr said to use Aquaphor and it should clear it up.
