Am I the only one? 😭

Postpartum hives... I had a relatively easy pregnancy and a decent delivery. But, these hives are killing me. I am itchy from my scalp to my toes and if anything touched me or I rub (I don't scratch at all), I get welts everywhere. Doctor suggested allergy meds and if that doesn't work to wait it out about 6-8 weeks. I'm past 2 months pp now. The meds don't work and I don't want anything stronger since I breastfeed. Does anyone relate at all? When did yours go away? ☹️

I’m going through a similar thing! Except I’m not sure it’s hives. I’m just super itchy everywhere all the time and have scabs everywhere from scratching. Dr did blood test and said liver function test was slightly elevated and I’m going to retest again tomorrow. She may refer me to specialist if it’s gotten worse but she thinks it’s hormones messing it up. She gave me a 5 day script for steroids which I took two weeks ago and it helped. Also take an antihistamine daily. But now the itching is getting bad again! I’m glad I’m not alone :(

Mine took about 6 weeks. You might have pupps rash, which i was told was hives from a physician’s assistant. Mine turned into welts when I scratched too. I tried cortisone, heavy duty prescription cortisone, steroid prescription, aloe, and oatmeal soap. I can tell you the only thing that gave me relief was Grandpa’s Pine Tar Soap. I got it off Amazon. It smells horrendous but once it rinses off your skin, the scent goes away. I honestly think it helped the itchiness go away which then allowed the rash to heal faster. Good luck! It definitely wasn’t fun.
