What happens if ivf fails?

So i know this might sound like a very dumb question. But i know thay ivf is extremly expensive and was just wondering what happenes if it fails? Do you have to pay for the whole process all over again or can you only do it one time? Please no rude comments.

Depends on the reason why IVF failed however if it's due to egg quality, there are new IVF procedures to consider. Extremely expensive but effective. Also, you may want to considering hiring a fertility guide like I did  who can help you prepare for and enhance your fertility treatment results. My fertility coach also helps connect people with grants, etc. to limit the cost of procedures as well as sometimes the procedures are free. I didn't know but there are lots of natural, effective methods to improve your odds. My fertility coach created a program just for me. She actually used my DNA to create the program. She referred me to this app as well. 
I did conceive with the program. I'm now working on baby #2. The point is, there is hope :-)

I've spent over $50,000 in the last 5 years. 5 cycles of IVF, only 1 or 2 embryos from each cycle to transfer, and 5 chemical pregnancies. One good round of IVF got me pregnant, with 3 to freeze. Miscarried at 11 weeks. 2 rounds of frozen transfers, bfn on both of those.

Now, we're taking a break, and really thinking hard about living life child free.

Sometimes it just doesn't work, and your options are giving up, adoption, surrogacy, donor sperm/egg/embryo. It all depends on why it didn't work. In terms of having a baby yourself - there's nothing "more" than IVF - it's the last option.

And the cycles do occassionally fail.  So it's not a silly question.  Many people do another round (or three or four) hoping for different results, using different mess and protocols.  Some people learn that IVF was unsuccessful for a reason and have to choose a different route instead.  You have to discuss your options with your doctor if and usually after your cycle fails.  And yes you pay for each round.

I think it depends on the outcome of the IVF cycle. 
For example, we were lucky enough to freeze 5 embryos. So next time we would just pay for a frozen embryo transfer and not a whole IVF cycle.
