Too early to stop progesterone?

Question

My sweet friend finally got her bfp with her second IVF/fet transfer. Today she went for beta and her numbers were great. Her doctor told her to stop progesterone and she's 11 days past transfer. I have never heard of such a thing! Everyone I see, and even my dr, has been made to go 10-12 weeks until the placenta takes over. Is this way too soon for her to stop progesterone? My RE told me we would loose our pregnancy if we stopped before 10 weeks. Like she was superadimate about it.

My levels were always great I still had to take it for 10 weeks!

I took progesterone for a little
Over 3 months. One month before FET and continuously 2 months after getting pregnant. I had to take it so long because my levels were really low to begin with and my RE suggested that this would keep the uterus really calm while the babies grow since we did so much stimulation shots. Everyone is different, I've heard people only needing it for a few weeks.

She may have just needed it to get pregnant but I'm sure he tested her levels before telling her to stop

I had an frozen embryo transfer and I had to be on progesterone for 12 weeks 😳

I began Aug 4 and stopped on Sept 27. That is 10 weeks. I don't understand why she would stop sooner. Did she get a second opinion?

Progesterone isn't needed by everybody. Every case is different. Perhaps you needed it and she didnt. Either way, I would listen to the doctor.

This is my 2nd ivf pregnancy and I hav been told to take progesterone up until I'm 34 weeks this time. Last year was also an IVF pregnancy aswell and lost my baby at 22.3 weeks stillbirth. I had taken progesterone up to 12 weeks then

I only took the progesterone for 21 days from my egg retrieval so I was like 3 weeks and they had me stop. I'm now 13 weeks 3 days and my doctor has told me that I can treat this like any other pregnancy cause everything is normal.

Everyone doesn't need progesterone. It's like an insurance policy, but you don't have to take it if you levels maintain well on their own. I didn't need it because my progesterone levels have been just fine, but everyone is different.
