Deli meats ok to eat?

I've been craving Bologna.... Is it ok to eat during pregnancy?

I eat deli meat . The rules list is ridiculous to me. I don't smoke or drink (didn't before either so..) and I am staying away from raw or rare food . Limiting caffeine . That's pretty much it. I wouldn't eat Bologna very much but if your craving have a sandwich !

My doc almost rolled her eyes at me when I asked about this. No need to even hear it up. As long as you are getting it from a reputable place and it's eaten within 5 days it's all good. If it had listeria there would be an outbreak and everyone would know about it. You find it more in veggies and you never hear about people boycotting that.

Besides the listeria risk it's not that healthy for you anyway! I'd satisfy your craving and try to focus on eating healthy foods. I do crave a bologna sandwich in white bread with American cheese and nacho Doritos from time to time 😁

My doc says no but some say yes. It's just what you feel comfortable with and what you can/cannot live without.

Me personally I follow all my doctor's recommendations because she gives them for a reason...they don't advise against things because of no reason. Yes, risk may be small, but for me, I'd better be safe than sorry. But that is just my choice.
