When did you stop swaddling your baby?

My daughter is 6 weeks old and is always moving around, even in her sleep. She seems to not like being swaddled so my husband and I will sometimes leave her I unswaddled at night but she wakes herself up from moving, but then struggles when she’s swaddled and I end up sleeping with her on my chest which I don’t want to continue because of the risk factors.

I stopped the day we brought my son home from the hospital. He hated it and loved sleeping like a starfish, still does. We used sleep sacks that kept his arms free as well as allowed him to move his legs.

I stopped a couple days in cuz I read something that freaked me out about swaddling. He slept fine either way.

We swaddled with his arms out so his torso and legs were snug. He hated his arms tucked in from birth so we just left them out.

Have you tried leaving one or both arms out? We do that sometimes works for ours 😊

We have a sleep sack swaddle that works great. And you just leave your littles ones arms out when they start wiggling more and rolling over. Our daughter loves it and sleeps great at night with it.
