Should I take a pregnancy test?

So.. my period started 2 days earlier. It was fairly light, but not like spotting. Usually during my period I get REALLY bad backaches, but I didn't have any pain this time. Today I had brown stringy discharge. I've never seen that before. I assume it's brown from old blood, but I've never had anything like that after my period. Also, (I'm pretty sure it's s coincidence) but I've had like 5 people ask if I'm pregnant the past few days. Should I take a pregnancy test?
