Lots of period like cramping and baby movement right above vagina area

Hi ladies, I'm 30 weeks 2 days pregnant baby is head down and feeling alot of period like cramping and baby movement right above my vagina area. The cramping had been consistent for two days now along with the baby movement. I usually feel all the kicks and flips etc in my upper stomach but the last two days it's only been in the area right above my vagin. I don't see my obgyn until next Wednesday. Has anyone experience this before? Is this normal?
