I lost my virginity and now I’m insecure..

I’m 18 and I’m with someone I actually do love very much. I’ve never felt so comfortable with one person before in my life. However, we’re breaking up in August because I’m leaving for college and he’s going into the army. I felt ready for sex so we did it. But now I don’t know what I’ll do when I’m single. I don’t know how to be a virgin. I’m freaking out a little and when I do that I tend to self destruct. I was raised on the ideal that heaving a virgin makes you worth more and more “pure”. I’m starting to trust my boyfriend less and now I’m more insecure about myself. What do I do?
