Have you started giving puffs to your 6 month old to eat?

She had her first ones today! 
Those are big, adult thumb sized carrot puffs. Package said 7+ months and I figured why not try it out since she chomps on watermelon etc already too. She loves them.
I won’t get the small puffs yet though. My son had his first around 8 months ish when he started to eat at the table with us cause he refused purées

Not yet, but maybe during the next couple of months. She doesn’t like thin purées, so I’m already scrambling for a variety of foods to give her (was sort of expecting a couple of months to introduce lots of puréed veggies first, but she let her preferences be known🤷🏼‍♀️)

Tried my almost 7 month old with tiny pieces of a baby cookie thing but she doesn’t know how to chew so it just sat in her mouth and the made her gag. My son was eating pieces of foods by 6 months but he also had 6 teeth. My daughter has none.

We’ve done both puffs and yogurt melts to build pincer grasp skills as well as chewing/swallowing. Baby is breastfed, doing baby lead weaning, and will be 7 months in a week.

My almost 7 month old has been eating puffs and yogurt bites for a couple weeks now. She had the jaw mashing technique down, so is able to eat them easily. I’ll put them on her try to keep her busy while I prepare our meals and she has gotten very good at picking them up and eating them herself. She is starting to do the pincer grasp!

My daughter loves the Rice Rusks, Fruit & Veggie Melties, Yogurt Melts, Puffs, Arrowroot Biscuits (Gerber). She just started the Arrowroot recently but has done very good with each one. For about a week right before she turned 6 months she was trying to “chew” her purées so I figured she was ready to try them and she took off with it like she had been doing it all along. I make the majority of her food and started thickening it a couple weeks after beginning solids because she would get mad if it was too thin. She is a little foodie though. The Rice Rusks are a great option to begin with in my opinion and experience just in case anyone is wondering which they should try first. They truly dissolve very easily. Next we did the Fruit & Veggie Melties, then Puffs, then Yogurt Melts and now the Arrowroot Biscuits. Oh I forgot to mention she does not have any teeth yet. Hope this helps anyone who might be wondering when, how, etc to introduce things like this with textures etc. Does anyone know if they still make the Zwieback Teething Toast? When my 16 year old was a baby those helped in so many ways and she loved them. I haven’t seen them anywhere and have checked several places. I would be kinda surprised if they don’t make them anymore they have been around since probably the 80’s, true classic that actually worked.

Yes and yogurt melts! My son loves them he’s six months he can move them in his mouth very well.
