Is he just bad at texting?

I’ve been talking to this guy and we recently started dating. I feel like he isn’t interested in me because he sends incredibly dry texts and I feel like I’m always the one who makes an effort to keep the conversation going. Although when we FaceTime or hangout, we usually have a fun time but we’re silent for about 60% of the time. Advice!?

When you find the right person, talking to them feels like breathing. It is very natural and happens without you feeling like you are forcing yourself or your SO into the conversation

I’ve been in your shoes before and I know it can be difficult because some people just really don’t enjoy texting and being on their phones (which is okay). But a guy that wants to be with you should make you feel appreciated and wanted, you shouldn’t have to guess about it. I don’t see anything TOO alarming with your situation except that you said you’re quiet 60% of the time when you’re together.. that should be time you guys are cherishing and making the most of. You should be making memories and laughing and doing all the things couples do! I would say try to be more invested in each other when you’re together and if that doesn’t happen, it’s not meant to be
