Ladies on SNAP beneifits

I’m currently working but will be quitting in August to stay home with my daughter. I live with a family member but in exchange to stay with her for free she asked if I would watch her baby for her while she works. Could I still get food stamps without having a job in VA? I didn’t know if you had to have a job or not. I already get a little bit of food stamps for myself(under $50) , I was wondering if they’d raise that at all when I quit my job. Anyone know?
