Natural remedies to clear up posion ivy?

Ladies, I keep showering and applying medicated cream on the areas but it keeps spreading. It itches so bad! I'm doing my best to avoid itching and rubbing it because I know that's how it spreads.

Wash the area thoroughly with dawn. It will remove any oil. If you have open seeping blisters that can spread it as well. Saltwater will help with the itchy as will using ice. It needs to dry out in order to heal so don’t put a bandage over it unless you are concerned about the seeping.

If it’s spreading, that means that the urishol (spelling? - it’s the poison oil on the ivy) is still on something and you keep coming into contact with it.  So all you need to do is wash Everything and anything the oil could be on with soap and water- shoelaces? Clothes? Coats? Camping gear? Anything else?

Tecnu soap will remove any residual oils. If you are sure you have gotten all the oils off and it continues to pop up in different places, it may be spreading systemically. At that point for me, prednisone is the only thing that fixes it, but your doctor may have other suggestions.
