Can masturbating in a bath cause an infection?

Recently I had an infection which needed to be treated three times, so now I'm really anxious if something down there is not right. Is there a possibility that masturbating in water during bathing can cause an infection? Because I did it yesterday and since then I have a strange feeling inside, like there's still water or something. (Or maybe I'm just overreacting) And generally, can masturbating cause infections? (always clean hands, no fingering)

As someone that has a sensitive vaginal area, I refrain from taking baths at all. My mom (who is a pediatrician) told me a long time ago that baths aren’t that great for women. 
1. You are sitting in water and probably washing/rinsing in that water that has particles of dirt, sweat and whatever else may be on your body. Therefore, if you can, take showers over baths.
2. Soaps, bubble baths and other scented products can throw off the PH of your body. Once that happens, you are def more susceptible to infections (not STI’s of course but yeast, UTI’s and/or BV).
3. If you can help it, don’t wash the inside of your vagina with anything other than water. Meaning, don’t put soap on a washcloth/loofah and attempt to clean the inside of your vagina. Putting anything other than water on the inside of your vaginal area can cause infections. While women think that scrubbing their vagina will make it smell clean and fresh, that’s untrue. The vagina is self-cleaning and will clean itself. There are times where it may smell rank, but most of the time, that’s normal. You can clean the outside with soap (something unscented or very mild) but that should be about it. I sweat a lot down there, so I actually put a small bit of deodorant on the top (where the hair is/should be). However, I use Dove unscented and I don’t use a lot.
4. If you do masturbate in the bathtub, the issue is, you’re sitting in the particles/soap or whatever else & possibly mixing that with your fingers and inserting on/in your vagina....that in itself may cause issues. So, you do have to be careful.

I don’t say no, unless you have soap, bubble bath or a bath bomb in the water then maybe. You may just be on the more sensitive side down there 🤷🏻‍♀️

If you don't mind me asking what kind of infection . because sometimes if you don't go pee after you can get a UTI . but I guess it depends on what you are doing
