Veterans finding out they are sterile?

Maggiesty
I joined that army back in 2010 and at the time I was 18 and had a normal period. In fact I had my period the week before I left. But right after we got all out shots my body went all wonky and I didn't have a period for 6 months. When it came back it was all over the place. Sometimes lasted 2 weeks. And then would vanish for months. It's been 5 years and my period is fairly regular again but after some tests I found out I had mysteriously become sterile. So now I'm 23 and can never have kids. I don't mind as I don't want kids.
But I am curious if any one else had this happen?

Joined in 04, was diagnosed in 07 as sterile by a military dr and told I had cervical cancer and some other issues right before deploying, had a daughter in 2014 and am currently pregnant again. Get some more opinions.

Why can't you have kids? Did they give you an exact diagnosis? When is the last time you went to the VA?

My DH has every shot the military will give plus some and had deployed 10 times to pretty much every where plus a positive Ippd test TB and had to take the meds. There are a lot of military kids even from parents who were in units like hubbies. So you may have had issues before hand. And basic always screws up a women's cycle that's why a lot of OS go on BC before.

Hmm. My aunt is a vet from army and had three kids back to back after she got out and her husband is still in after several years (idk the exact amount) but it doesn't have to depend on your shots, but where you got placed and where you got deployed. Also high stress situations, and you could have just been like that in the beginning. You never know
