Ultrasounds ???

Im currently 7 weeks and 5 days ( estimated ) 
So i went to my ob and i forgot to ask her but why do i always see women with early ultrasounds ? 😭 and my ob told me the first ultrasound is at 11 weeks . Is it just the clinic im going to ? Or ????

I’m in the uk and usually we get a scan at 12 weeks, but because my periods are irregular and my last period was just spotting they aren’t sure if it was implantation, so I’m getting a dating scan, I’ll be around 10+2 (estimated) then if not further, otherwise it would be 12 weeks

My first is always 20wks. Depends on where you’re from and if you pay for a private scan to find out gender prior. And also if you are having an uncomplicated pregnancy.

That all depends on the practitioner. With my first I only had one at 12 and 20 weeks. With my second I had a total of 4. 7/8 weeks to confirm, 12 weeks to date, 20 week anatomy and 36 to confirm head down.

I think it depends on the country your in, if you’re going public or private, your doctor and if you’ve had anything that might indicate an ectopic pregnancy or any issues. I had one at 5 weeks to eliminate ectopic pregnancy due to my high risk, one at 7 weeks when I first met with my OB, ten weeks to confirm I was far enough along to have NIPT done and will have one at 13 weeks.

Most who have early scans are high risk.
I would’ve rather been able to wait than to be high risk. Lol.
